The Definition of Frame Scaffolding
Frame scaffolding is also called tubular steel frame scaffolding, portal frame scaffolding, door style frame scaffolding, is a long established modular frame scaffolding system serving as working platform for construction and decoration purposes, which is composed of main frames, catwalk or walk board, braces or cross braces, brackets, coupling pins of spigot, guardrails and sometimes casters, etc.
Frame scaffoldings have different styles such as walk through frame, open end frame, step frame, ladder frame, H frame, shoring Frame.
In order to cater clients’ demands in different countries and areas, American type galvanized, pre-galvanized walk-through frame, Mason single and double ladder frame, light weight Italian painted ladder frame, powder coated Korean type steel frame scaffold, etc.
Fabricated tubular metal frame scaffolding is the most common type of scaffolds, because they are versatile, economical, and easy to use. The modular frame scaffolding systems are frequently used in these areas:
√ Used for building, hall, bridge, viaduct, inside support roof of tunnel light template, or as flying die support main frame;
√ For the inside and outside of high-rise building grid scaffolding;
√ As mobile working platform for electro-mechanical installation, ship body repair and other decoration works;
√ For the erection of temporary viewing platforms and stages.

Walk-through Frame Scaffolding
Walk-through frames are used to create an unimpeded walkway along the entire length of a structure and at intermediate levels of a scaffold configuration. At 6’4″, a man of average height has no threat of bumping his head as he passes underneath these frames. Other than the main horizontal support at the top, there are no additional horizontal beams to impede transition between sets.

What are Frame Scaffolding Techniques?
As a professional scaffold manufacturer, iMW carries out a complete set of advanced production processes:
The incoming raw materials are carefully inspected.
1) We check the material appearance to see if any loss or missing pieces, the types and specifications are to be verified as well.
2) We check the quality certificates and inspection report to compare them with the actual materials.
3) We check the numbers of materials.
Before processing, we run all the components of scaffolds through certain mechanical processes, strictly following the instructions of blueprints. Mechanical processes include pipe cutting, punching, squashing and grinding etc.
After the pre-welding preparation, we weld the components together while assuring the shapes and quality of products strictly comply with blueprints. Any welding defects are not accepted, including undercut, concave defects, deformation, porosity, slag, cracks, incomplete penetration and weld leakage etc.
Common surface treatments: hot-dip galvanizing, electro-galvanizing, power spray, spray painting etc.
After surface treatment, there may be some deviations in shape and size and surface repair is needed. Common processes: sizing, disposal of zinc slag, deburring, repair coating etc.
Dependable packing and loading help putting your goods in someone else’s care is a big deal.
Checklist Of Assembling Frame Scaffolding
- Begin the checklist by capturing general information about the structure.
- Ensure the foundation and base of the scaffolding is secure and check that the height is within safe dimensions. Inspect the platforms, bracing, tubes and standards for proper installation and capture any defects.
- Check the load capacity and access points for the scaffolding.
- Finally update the scaffolding tag and capture a photo as a record.
- Preview sample scaffold inspection report.
